Olga Stadnik, Head of the EcoTechLab Research Center, held a webinar "Sustainable Packaging in the Context of ROP 2024" on April 18. More than 100 participants joined the live broadcast. A recording of the webinar, a presentation and a checklist on sustainable packaging are available below.
The webinar focused on a new perspective on sustainable packaging:
- After the changes in the ROP, the economic-environmental aspect has become one of the most important aspects;
- The economic side needs to be taken into account when assessing the sustainability of packaging;
- Regulations change rapidly. In order to implement changes in a timely manner, it is important to keep up with the adoption of regulations and trends.
As a follow-up to the webinar, the EcoTechLab Research Center has prepared a checklist for a quick assessment of packaging sustainability. The checklist includes more than 10 basic parameters, links to key regulatory documents, including the ROP, and a list of tools for more in-depth analysis (industry standards and recommendations).
The checklist will be particularly useful for producers of goods and packaging who want to make their current packaging more environmentally friendly or choose a new material before launching a product with sustainability in mind, but also for consumers.
