TV channel "Moskva 24" published material about the Moscow fandomats, which motivates people to recycle recyclable materials and receive bonuses for doing so. The BottleBank network machine in the office of EcoTechnologies also became a participant of the video.
The video showed the process of returning packaging and how to get bonuses for it.
Yulia Nikolaeva, head of the communications department of EcoTechnologies, gave a comment on the work of the machine:
“The fandomat recognizes the packaging by the barcode on the label. That is why the label does not need to be removed. The barcode gives information about the manufacturer, the type of packaging, as well as the labeling.”
BottleBank's Fandomat network is one of the largest in Russia, with more than 200 machines. Fandomats accept plastic bottles, household chemical bottles, and aluminum cans.
