Ravil Fehretdinov, R&D Director of EcoTechnologies (EcoPartners Group of Companies), wrote an article in the January 2024 issue of Plastics magazine about research and technology in secondary polymer recycling.
A major focus of R&D in recent years has been the move towards recyclable monopolymer packaging. Competition between different plastics is being observed. Russian examples of flexible packaging based on monopolyolefin structures instead of multilayer structures and packaging using recycled materials have already appeared. The article describes this trend and the green cases made possible by R&D.
