Recycle to combat plastic pollution. As part of the project, together with the company "EcoTechnologies" will be held the collection of plastic waste for recycling. The campaign will last from June 10 to August 10 and will cover 7 cities in Russia.
Plastic will be collected in eco-centers in Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Saratov, Tomsk and Nizhny Novgorod.
Packaging and products made of polypropylene marked with 5 PP are accepted for recycling. These are containers, disposable dishes, drinking tubes, lens boxes, buckets, toys and others. Each ecocenter has its own list of accepted fractions.
The campaign aims to ensure that useful plastic items that people use in their daily lives do not end up in landfills and can be reused after recycling. Small plastic items are usually not collected, and risk ending up in waterways or contaminating soil with microplastics.
However, polypropylene is highly recyclable and in demand by both recyclers and manufacturers of recycled products. This recycled material is used to make pipes, garden tools, tool fittings and more.
The project will continue with the release of a limited edition recycled collection of INSTASAMKA accessories. Original jewelry made from recycled plastic will appear in the VK Store.
The list of participating eco-centers and the rules of the campaign are available on the project page.
