The RusPRO association has collaborated with EcoTechnologies, as part of the EcoResponse project, to install a fandomate in the I.N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University in Cheboksary.
The machine accepts plastic bottles and containers for household chemicals, as well as aluminum cans. To deposit the packaging in the fandomate, you need to place the empty container in the receiving window with the barcode facing up. The machine scans the barcode on the label and weighs the packaging. Points called BottleCoin can be earned for depositing packaging, which can be exchanged for rewards from partners.
The removal of waste from the fandomate for recycling will be carried out by NPO Ecology LLC in Cheboksary, and the waste recycling will be done by members of the Association "Industrial Cluster of Recycling of Raw Materials and Waste."
The project is supported by the Russian Environmental Operator, a public-law company that oversees the efficient and legal handling of solid municipal waste in Russia.
The fandomate can be found at: 38 Universitetskaya Street, Cheboksary. The machine is available to students and staff of the I.N. Ulyanov Chuvash State University.
