On June 18, residents of Tver gathered for a clean-up on the banks of the Volga. Together, the volunteers collected 1.5 cubic meters of waste, including broken glass, plastic, aluminum and cans, plastic bags, cigarette butts and other rubbish. The event was attended by 28 volunteers.
⠀
The general cleaning was organized by the EcoPartners group of companies, together with the city administration and the RusPRO association, within the framework of the Eco Answer federal private project.

All collected waste was sorted, and valuable fractions (glass, plastic, aluminum) were sent for recycling. Plastic waste - more than 20 kg in total - will arrive at the Tver Polymer Recycling Plant, where they will be processed into secondary granules and flakes, and then used to create new products. Before cleaning, the volunteers were instructed on the separate collection of waste and were told about the peculiarities of plastic recycling.
